I am a Canadian living in the Czech Republic. I lived near Toronto and worked as a physiotherapist for 8 years before moving to Europe. I have taught English for 2+ years and love teaching. Helping people too communicate in English and seeing the opportunities it gives them is very rewarding.
When I’m not teaching, I like yoga, hiking, learning about history, and traveling. My biggest passion is learning, especially about people and the world around us.
My background as a physiotherapist provides me with the opportunity to teach English for medical purposes. I loved my career as a physiotherapist and am still very much connected to that part of my life.

I can provide both structured and conversational lessons.
All students start with an introductory lesson to determine their comfort with the English language, goals, learning style, and interests.
Structured lessons include a discussion, focus on a specific grammar or vocabulary topic with written exercises and speaking practice, and then homework. This can involve worksheets, textbooks and online resources.
Conversational lessons usually focus on practising speaking skills, often including introduction of idioms and more advanced topic specific language.
English for medical purposes, yoga instructors, and fitness trainers are specifically designed to meet the student/clients needs. Please contact me for details.
Also, there are “book/movie club” style lessons. The student and I read a book or watch a movie independently, then discuss it during lessons. These can be more focused on reading comprehension for early learners, or discussing themes, writing/directing styles, and cultural significance for more advanced learners.

Lesson packages must be purchased ahead of time to qualify for the discount. Otherwise, lessons can be paid by the lesson. Lessons must be cancelled 24hrs in advance. There is a late cancellation fee of 75% of the lesson rate, while the fee for not showing up to lessons is 100% of the lesson rate. 90min lessons and group lesson rates are available on request.
